A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE
PBY CATALINA FOUNDATION

The events of September 11, 2001 have changed the lives of all Americans. The enemy has no respect for our way of life or the lives of our people. Our families have been targeted by an intolerant fascism that has distorted the peaceful religion of Islam for its own personal and political gain.

“United We Stand” is not just a set of words. They represent deeds to meet a threat not only to the United States but also to the free world. America is not perfect but we do try to make a positive difference in the world. History does make one important point very clear about the U. S. - do not anger the United States of America. Others have and have paid a very heavy price. This enemy will pay dearly as well.

As we all work through these difficult times, we are supporting the various organizations that will care for the families of the fallen, the rescue workers, and our military. We also need, however, to care for our families’ emotional needs and ourselves. Please, get the counseling necessary to heal the family’s emotional wounds that were created September 11, 2001. Your healing is just as important as that of the victims.

The President of the United States has said that we all need to get back to our normal activities. The PBY Catalina Foundation plans to do just that. We plan to continue our efforts to purchase a PBY, do historical research, and preserve the history of the PBY Catalina. By returning to work, we win and the terrorists lose.

God, protect us all from the threat of terrorism.

Allen L. James
President
PBY Catalina Foundation
